Meet the Dentists
Dr. Bruce Stolle
After graduating from Mehlville High School in St. Louis, Dr. Stolle went on to attend Washington University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1979 and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the School of Dental Medicine in 1983. He stays current in his field by holding membership in several professional associations, including the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, Greater St. Louis Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and Christian Medical Dental Association.
Following dental school, Dr. Stolle worked as a clinical dental instructor at Washington University while starting a private practice part time. Two years later, he decided to expand and began to practice full time. Dr. Stolle has also served as an independent professional advisor for two dental insurance firms. Over the years, he has volunteered his time to performing dentistry on mission trips to Mexico and Guatemala.
Dr. Stolle has been happily married for 35 years. He and his wife have three children. When not at the practice or spending time with his family, he enjoys playing racquetball, backpacking, fly fishing, and staying active in his local church.
Dr. Art Westphal
A proud St. Louis native, Dr. Westphal attended Southwest High School before studying chemical engineering at Washington University, where went on to earn a Bachelor of Science and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the School of Dental Medicine in 1983. After graduation, he worked as a clinical instructor for the school and volunteered his time meeting the dental needs of disadvantaged youth in programs such as Herbert Hoover Boys Club. Happily married to his wife Karen, a chemical engineer by profession, for 32 years, Dr. Westphal has three children and two dogs. He and his family reside in Wildwood. Outside the practice, Dr. Westphal stays busy with a range of hobbies. With a second black belt in Tae Kwon Do, he enjoys martial arts, photography, and chess, even though he hasn’t competed in any recent tournaments. Dr. Westphal also likes to ride motorcycles. He has ridden sport bikes, as well as touring bikes, in rallies as far away as South Dakota and often commutes to and from work on his current bike, a VRod.
Dr. Westphal is excited about his practice and the wonderful developments that he has witnessed in dentistry and that he can see on the profession’s horizon. Enthusiastic about the progressive nature of dentistry today, he finds it gratifying to see the change it makes in patients’ lives.
